Augmented Reality for the Maintenance of Industrial Products
This research project aims to enhance the S.MAN_Service manuals platform by integrating Augmented Reality (AR) applications as a support tool for maintenance personnel.
Using a tablet or smartphone, maintenance workers can focus on the specific area that requires attention. The AR application overlays relevant digital information, guiding the operator step by step through the process. This approach eliminates the need for paper manuals and minimizes cognitive load.

Carpal Tunnel Project
The R&D division has developed a prototype medical device for the non-invasive measurement of pressure within the Carpal Tunnel.
This instrument is designed to complement traditional neurophysiological methods used in diagnosing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, serving as a screening tool in high-risk workplace environments. By offering a non-invasive and cost-effective approach, it supports the prevention of this syndrome.
The prototype is the outcome of scientific research conducted by Faentia Consulting's R&D division in collaboration with the University of Bologna – Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, along with a multidisciplinary team of Italian physicians and engineers.
Ergosocpia Project
The Ergoscopia project (derived from Ergonomics and Laparoscopy/Endoscopy) aims to analyze working conditions in operating rooms for the entire surgical team, including surgeons, nurses, scrub technicians, radiology technicians, and anesthesiologists, during surgical endoscopy and laparoscopy procedures.
The project is structured into three phases:
- Risk assessment of physical and cognitive ergonomic hazards affecting each team member
- Identification of protective measures to eliminate hazards or reduce risk levels
- Implementation of the identified measures within operating rooms
The ultimate goal is to enhance awareness of ergonomic challenges among healthcare personnel and medical device manufacturers, thereby contributing to the overall well-being of medical staff and improving patient outcomes.
Il Coniglietto Ginny the Management of Diabetes Mellitus
Roberta and Giorgio, after their daughter Geneva was diagnosed with diabetes, decide to create software to help families manage data related to Diabetes Mellitus. They notice that the data storage system, crucial in the early years of the disease, still has gaps.
Thus was born “Il Coniglietto Ginny" ("Ginny's Bunny”), a management tool that facilitates the recording and monitoring of health information.
This tool proves useful not only for them, but for all families facing this condition. The software is compatible with Polaris Office and Excel.
